Portrait of a Plumber

Portrait of a Plumber, originally uploaded by Blogphotog.

Tom, a plumber in Washington, D.C. poses while installing handicap accessible restroom fixtures in a historic house.
I shot this while documenting the historic restoration of the house/museum.

Lana...ha ha ha! I thought about making some sort of snide comment, "he's the type of plumbers lonely people hope will come to the door!" but I decided not to. I should rephrase, I decided not to until you commented on his backside! Then it felt like the thing to do.

I enjoy your blog, I'll be stopping by again! It's amazing to see the life of somebody working in Washington. It must be interesting, chaotic, and stressful. Sounds like my kind of gig!

LOL! Jordan! I really should not be making these comments, but Jessyle started it. . . . Tom was a very nice man who didn't object at all to my getting in his way while he worked.

Yes, working is D.C. is all of those things you mentioned and more. Sometimes I lose sight of the fact that I am privilaged to work here and have more opportunities than most people in some respectes. Comments such as your help me appreciate the opportunities I have. Thanks for visiting and I'll be over to your blog as well.
